In 2008, WACF moved into a permanent headquarters now known as the Levinson-LaBrosse Lakes and Wetlands Education Center located on 40 acres of wetland, woods, and lakeshore approximately one mile south of Syracuse, Indiana (see Center Project) on Lake Wawasee. The Center allows the Foundation to forge a more identifiable role in the community and provides a location for greater educational programming.

In 2010, the Ruddell Pavilion was added to the property and is actively used for a variety of educational and community events.
In the recent past, the Center has been host to events by the Wawasee Property Owners Association, IDNR, Syracuse Chamber of Commerce, Ducks Unlimited, Syracuse Park Department’s Mudtastic, Syracuse Trail Committee, and others. In addition, WACF holds annual events such as the Fall Trail Walk, Lake Talk & Eats, and Fall Bug Fest at the Center.
In addition to protecting and preserving the watershed, the WACF is committed to using our Center to support the organizations and activities that enhance the quality of life in the Syracuse-Wawasee community.
