Land Preservation

The primary mission of WACF is to preserve and enhance water quality, to that end, the long term goal is to acquire wetlands and endangered areas along the shorelines and feeder streams. A study, conducted by Commonwealth Engineering in 1995, has been and continues to be the guidepost for WACF actions and projects.  This research established the priority wetlands to acquire and project. Additionally the WACF Ecology Committee evaluates and assesses all potential sites before acquisition is pursued and completed.
