See Our Watershed Up Close During A WACF Canoe Trip
Join us for a unique adventure with the WACF Canoe Trips and explore our watershed up close! These trips offer a combination of fun experiences and educational opportunities on Friday mornings, July 10, 17, 24, and 31. For a nominal donation of $5.00 (cash) per person, you can embark on this journey, which starts at 7:30 AM and lasts until around noon. You will paddle from Knapp Lake to Indian Village Lake. The video below gives a glimpse of the trip.
During the canoe trips, you will receive comprehensive education about wetlands from our knowledgeable canoe leaders. As you paddle through spring-fed lakes and wetlands, you’ll appreciate the beauty and significance of our watershed, highlighted by the diverse flora and fauna and the miles of shoreline preserved by WACF.
Your safety is our top priority, so please dress appropriately for the weather and remember to bring life jackets, as they are required by the DNR. WACF will provide the canoes and paddles. If you prefer to use a kayak, you will need to bring your own kayak and paddles.
Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity! Sign up is required. The meeting location is at the Public Ramp Parking Area on Hatchery Road. 9124 E Hatchery Road, Syracuse, IN 46567
T-shirts:
T-shirts cost $10 and come in adult sizes YL, S-2XL. You can buy them with cash or a check at the end of the trip.
