WACF Levinson-Labrosse Lakes and Wetlands Education Center

In 2008, the WACF established a permanent headquarters now called the Levinson-LaBrosse Lakes and Wetlands Education Center. This center is situated on 40 acres of wetlands, woods, and lakeshore, located approximately one mile south of Syracuse, Indiana, on Lake Wawasee.

In 2010, the Ruddell Pavilion was added to the property and is actively used for a variety of educational and community events.

The Center hosts monthly meetings for various organizations, including the Wawasee Property Owners Association, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), the Turkey Creek Dam and Dike Conservancy District, Ducks Unlimited, among others. WACF educational events, as well as those organized by Chautauqua, the Women of Today Donut Dash, and the Syracuse Park Department’s Mudtastic, take place on the Center’s property.

The Jorgensen Amphitheater offers a lovely area to sit and enjoy views of Conklin Bay.

Lakeside, Hinrich’s Waterfront Park is the newest addition to the Education Center property, featuring the Hinrich’s Gazebo and stunning views of the east side of Lake Wawasee.
