WACF Watershed Projects

Over the years, WACF has partnered with many state and federal agencies to plan, fund, and implement projects that will enhance and protect our Watershed. Take a look at some of our Watershed Projects and learn how we are working to prevent the decline of watersheds in the Wawasee area.

Wawasee Inlets
Nutrient Study (WINS)

The Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation protects the Lake Wawasee watershed through conservation, education, and research. Since 2008, the 40-acre Levinson-LaBrosse Education Center near Syracuse, Indiana, has served as a hub for their mission and community engagement.

WACF Education

In 2021, WACF educated 2,167 participants with help from 350 volunteers through hands-on activities, canoe trips, and school programs. With community support, we promote sustainable practices to protect our watershed. Join us in learning, volunteering, and making a difference!

WACF Land Preservation

WACF protects the Wawasee watershed through land preservation, conserving wetlands, shorelines, and forests to sustain water quality, wildlife habitats, and community recreation for future generations.
