Water Bug Catch: Meet the Tiny Creatures with Big Stories
Join us for Water Bug Catch, where families, kids, and curious adults can roll up their sleeves, dip nets into the water, and discover the amazing world of aquatic macroinvertebrates. These tiny creatures play a big role in showing us how healthy our lakes and streams are.
You’ll get to explore the shoreline with our team, learn how to safely collect and identify water bugs, and find out what these creatures can tell us about water quality, pollution, and the health of our watershed. Science is hands-on and fun at this event! The Annual Bug Catch is free and perfect for kids and grandkids. Remember to bring water shoes, a life jacket, and nets.
